Anderson will step out for his 150th United appearance on Saturday should he be selected to face Stoke and the midfielder says it will be a milestone he’s proud of.
The midfielder has endured a rollercoaster journey during his five-year career at Old Trafford from the highs of title and Champions League triumphs to the lows of long-term injuries and lengthy spells out of the team.
Now fit again and enjoying his football, the Brazilian insists he is at exactly the right club to progress with his career and he is determined to do everything to ensure he becomes the best player he can be.
“I’ve been here for five years and I’m very happy here,” he told ManUtd.com. “Sometimes I have had difficult moments at the club, but I’ve always got through those moments and everyone has always helped me – the manager, my team-mates, the staff and the fans. I know this is the best club for me.
“I feel confident and I feel very happy in my life,” he added. “My family is good and I hope my injuries are now behind me.
“I’m 24 now and I’ve learnt a lot in the last few years, and I understand that to do well in my career, I have to look after myself and train hard. That is my aim.”
