The above trio are included in Roy Hodgson’s England squad for World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine but injury rules out Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.

Elsewhere, Jonny Evans returns to the Northern Ireland fold for matches with Russia and Luxembourg and fellow defender Patrice Evra is in France’s plans for their double-header against Finland and Belarus.

Robin van Persie (Netherlands), Nani (Portugal) and Joshua King, who has been elevated to Norway’s senior squad, will also take part on the road to Brazil 2014. Anders Lindegaard has to wait until Saturday for Denmark’s qualifier against Czech Republic.

There are longer trips for Japan star Shinji Kagawa, Ecuador’s key man Antonio Valencia and Mexican marksman Javier Hernandez ahead of United’s next Barclays Premier League outing against Wigan.

In the lower age groups, Ben Amos is the Reds’ sole representative in Stuart Pearce’s England Under-21 squad as they face Azerbaijan and Norway but four youngsters are in the Under-19 party – Jonny Sutherland, Nick Powell, Tyler Blackett and Jack Barmby.

Robbie Brady (Republic of Ireland Under-21s), Marnick Vermijl (Belgium Under-21s), Bebe (Portugal Under-21s), Frederic Veseli (Switzerland Under-20s), Tom Lawrence (Wales Under-19s) and Charni Ekangamene (Belgium Under-19s) are also absent from Carrington during the break. Darren Fletcher is training with Scotland but has not been included in their official squad and is not in contention to play.
